Mounting a couple Kuryakyn USB ports on my bars next to the phone/GPS mount. Running the cable under the dash, but not sure if I like this much cable showing on extreme right turns. Suggestions? Also it suggested that they be mounted facing down to avoid exposure to water, but that means I have to wrap them around the bars from below. I guess its better to have the USB cord plugged into it facing downward so its not just sticking up above the headlight so there may be no way around the wrap.
Then I got a USB->Micro USB cable that goes to the GPS which is much thinner, plus, if you're not using it, you just take if off and no cable.
Pic of power cable first. 2nd Pic is of the USB cable that goes from the neck to the device. This was taken when I had it mounted on the tank, later I figured out I could mount it on the neck like the first pic, but you get the idea

I ended up leaving it under the dash and wrapping it around the GPS mount. Might readjust for mor slack and try to keep the cable from lifting up the rubber skirt on the dash gasket. Of course Im going to get a super short cord to go to the phone The long one in the pic was just to test charging
I just plug a Griffen USB into my cigerette lighter on the fairing which I use to power my GPS. I can turn the bars to full lock without hitting. It is a dual outlet USB and out of the way no wireing needed just plug it in. I also put one in the lighter in the trunk. So I now have the capability to use up to 4 USB at the same time and NO SPLICED WIRES
