Wow! Didn't think I would have started such a huge thread with a simple question. To continue, I tried a 7" LRS felt too short with head buffeting. So purchased the 9" LRS flat top, that was too tall. I need the Goldilocks shield!!! Not 100% sure of the LRS or anyones recurve. Think I will try to demo the HD windsplitter, and wish I was close enough to a dealer that sells Klock Werks to demo theirs. Found a couple of others and would like some feedback:
How tall are you? If a 9" Flat Top didn't help with the wind IMO there's no way a Windsplitter or Klock Werks is going to cut it. I could be wrong, everyone's different but having tried both, they let to much wind in on the sides. You might want to try Hawg Wings or something similar to deflect air from below. I'm 5'10" and use the LRS 6" Ultra and it works fine for me. If you're really sensitive to buffeting, you might have to look through the shield.
I just switched from a 7" Windspliter to a LRS 7" Ultra. It beats the Windspliter by a mile. LRS has a great fitment and sizing video on their site. If you're in between a 7" and 9", LRS offers an 8" as well. They are running a great price right now plus HDForums member get an additional 20% off. Just enter HDF20 in the coupon code text box.

I am thinking of the 8". Price has gone up since I purchased the 9", but the 20% will help.
Due to the extreme popularity of LRS in this thread, I just ordered a 6" recurve and the Hawg Wings. Got them both for $100 delivered to my door! Can't wait to receive them.
