What are the thicker Rushmore windshield Clearview or Long Ride?
I have bought and run several LRS shields and they are awesome
just wondering about the Clearview?
I also had a CEE Bailey on my old 94 Ultra and It was TOP Quality
Have to chuckle every time somebody says a certain windshield is the best. It's different for everyone. I didn't mind the stock shield, except I couldn't see over it. For my money LRS is the best shield out there, based on my opinion that out of the ClearViews I purchased, the stock shields I had, the Klockwerks I had. The 4 LRSs I bought all together were less than the price of any 1 of those other shields. My LRS Elite looked to be about the same thickness as my Clearview
I was torn between getting a LRS and a Freedom Shield...I opted for the Freedom because of the look of the polished edge, and their claim to no distortion looking through.
The "no distortion" line is true (I don't have other recurve styles to compare to though), and the polished edge really is beautiful. The only thing that concerns me about the Freedom is the thickness. It makes me a little nervous that it is thicker than the stock windshield, and thus there is a slight gap at the top edges of the inner and outer fairing for water to get into.
They (Freedom) claims it is a non-issue, and I hope it's true, because I really like the windshield!

Even using the stock windshield, water will get behind the fairing. The bikes are meant to get wet.

The LRS is a great windshield for the money, I have two.
They do have some distortion in both of them though.
The Freedom has no distortion, and I also like the polished edge of the Freedom.
