I have a 2009 FLHT with Wild Pig mufflers (2" louvered type baffles), Screamin Eagle breather and a PCV. I am wanting to change the sound a little and am considering installing 2" perforated baffles in the Wild Pigs. I have searched and found mixed reviews on this subject. Some say the sound will be louder and some say quieter. Has anyone done this and what results did you have?
Sound is subjective so my recommendation is to try it without making any unnecessary holes to see if that's the sound your looking for. As long as your not taking it on a long trip you should be able to experiment with your baffles till your close to where you want it.
Ive actually taken 2-2 1/2" piping a experimented with various cuts and holes in a quest for the sound I wanted. I finally ended up going to an exhaust where I can remove or add disks to d o the same thing (fatshotz). No catalytic with 5 disks per side was MY sweet spot.....everybody has a different G spot (sound nervana).
