[quote=grbrown;11090950]I suggest those dimensions are way out of date! Don't let yourself be put off by such stuff.
Let us go back to your ambition, to use a big bore kit. I own an S&S motor with 4"/101.6mm bore and would have no qualms in buying a bigger bore motor.]

I must be out of date! I'm going to have to do better homework as I'm still under the impression that a 4" bore required the bigger cylinders. How big can the standard cylinder/sleeve, be reliably bored to without boring the crankcase for the bigger cylinders?

I used the RevPerf cylinders on my 117" build on the advice of my builder and have 6K trouble free miles on them. Really like that the engine runs cool and the quality was excellent! I would not hesitate to use them.

I believe T-Man uses/sells them, If they are good enough for him they must be a good product.

I just had the rev perf 107 installed...bike is smooth and loads of power...only 500 miles on it, but it's a huge difference over stock. happy as can be so far...

I went with Rev Performance 117 nicasil cylinders and have about 5000 miles on them. Still have 215 ccp on the cylinders. I was originally going to go with the 107 bore on my 96 original cylinders but what scared me away was one possible overheat in stop and go heavy traffic could ruin my day pretty quickly. Maybe this was just a fear but it was still there. I broke in the cylinders with Shell Rotella 15w-40 diesel oil for the first 500 miles as this was highly recommended by my builder. I run at 11:1 compression and to help keep things cool I run with the Baker 1.5+ oil pan and the Jagg fan assist oil cooler. In the summer with the bike moving up here in CT the temps are around 223. In heavy traffic the hottest I've seen the bike is 242. I'm happy with the Rev Perm cylinders.
