When I saw the title of your thread, I started thinking it may be time for a 3rd bike.

Still too high for a freaking acorn nut but a long way from what he told you.
Update, I called a different dealer to check out that part number, turns out it is listed for $5.95. So I called the guy who gave me the $15.00 price and asked for the price of that same part number, he said $6.00. I said yesterday it was $15, today it's $6, big difference. He said he looked at the wrong number yesterday....

I know Ace gets their chrome fr. Garner Wescott the supplier to Harley according to a rep I met in an Ace store a couple years ago.

Amen to that. I had to learn most of it on "the street" while working, and I took a business major in college.

Granted, even with knowledge of business aspects, there would still be rants. A dealer in my area wanted to charge me $1200 to push paper on a 3rd party loan, on top of the APR. That's just silly. I know the DMV sucks and all, but if I figure $100 an hour for consulting side work, that's 12 hours sitting in the DMV to break even.

I was actually shocked the other way a few days ago.

Stopped to get the rubber plug for antennae hole and a oring I needed and it was under $3. Didn't think they priced anything that cheap lol

Default Chrome nuts

Hey did you get the memo? Never buy your chrome nuts fro HD. True Value Hardware stores keep an entire bin of chrome scres nuts and bolts both ASE and metric. I get them there and they are perfect. Acorn nuts on the ugly screws on my pipes.

Yeah, local dealer here wanted $258 for a WWW MT90-16 ME880 rear tire. I actually laughed out loud when he gave me the price.
