good looking bike, except for the color Black is faster I'm sure you know!! I have a 99FLHT with 141,000 on it no major problems with it, changed out the cam bearings and went with 203 cams and 95" kit at 27,000 miles, changed out the cam pads at 90,000 and then again at 140,000 suggest you check them every 30 to 40,000 miles, or go with the gear drive as somebody else said..great year for a Harley, oil and filter every 2500 to 3,000 miles do the 5,000 and 10,000 mile services as close to due time as possible, oil and filters, did I say that..oh i use Harley oil 20w-50 always have used that. works for me...Be cool, be careful and ride safe..Welcome to the Forum, never mind what the others say about black bikes, those that own them know.[sm=icon_rofl.gif][sm=icon_cheers.gif]

Virtually all'99 twin cam engines will eventually experience cam bearing failure. You need to determine for sure if yours have been replaced with the correct ones, even if you have to pay someone to go in and have a look.
Failure to address this issue will end in catastrophic engine failure. No time, is a good time for this to happen.
Other than that, Ride On.
