I have the iPod module installed on my 2012 flhtk. I just got the Garmon 660 with the NIM. Do I just use the existing iPod harness. I think it has the extra plug that is for the NIM module. I guess I was thinking that I use that so I don't need the harness that came with the NIM?

Do you have the instructions for the NIM? If so, have you read them?
Carl
Yes I have them and have read them. They mention nothing about if you have installed the iPod interface prior to this. I was looking at the harness that came with the NIM and it looks like the one that is on my bike currently for the iPod.
The harnesses are very similar. But they aren't the same becuae the loose, terminated wires plug into the 35 position connector in different chambers to connect to the appropriate pin-outs of the radio for their respective functions.
If you have the HD service manual the functions of the pin- outs are shown.
Also, at least some of the wire colors differ between the harnesses.
Just answered my own question. The iPod interface cable that comes with that kit is also the same cable that comes with the navigation interface. I allready installed the iPod interface, that had a plug that wasn't used. That plug is what plugs into the navigation interface module (NIM).
