Default 2010 Ultra dead at 80

I ride hard. Harder then most. This past weekend we did a trip from South Texas to Lawton OK and back. Over 1000 miles round trip. South of San Antonio on our way back we ran into a strong headwind of around 20 to 25 MPH. 80MPH was it in 6th gear. Had to downshift several time just to reach 80. Man I'm tired of this dog. Seems every time I go to a newer bike the power gets less and less even though the engine gets bigger and bigger. What do I need to do now to gain my power back. I know I know, Cams, 103 kit, PCV, Exhaust, and so on and so on. Why? Why is my 96" engine in my 2010 ultra weaker then my 01 88" RG. and why am I having to spend all this F***king money to cool it down and make it run better. Is anybody else having a problem with this BS? I just want my $25000 Harley to be able to keep up with a $12000 Honda VTX. Not to mention that everybody but me get 40 MPG+ from there bike and Im lucky to get 30.

Would the head wind have that much force on the fairing to slow you down that much? What do you thinkyour bike would top out at with no head wind?

Well a stock 88 isn't/shouldn't be more powerful than a stock 96. Your 88 didn't have a 6th overdrive so ya didn't need to shift down to hold 80. Plus your '10 ulta is heaver than the older bikes. But yeah, everyone wants more power, less heat, better mileage... for less money!

A 2-1 exhaust, a big sucker A/C, and a dyno from Mike at Lozano brothers porting in new braunfels.

About $1500 total and you will never have that problem again. It won't win any drag races but it will run cooler and you will never be downshifting to hit 80 unless there is a full blown twister.

My old '08 had the stage 1 103 and it had similar issues on the super slab. Big heavy bike and small engine - Not a power house for sure.

I paid $8,900 for my VTX brand new and it will run circles around my Road King. Does that make you feel any better?

Besides EPA I think HD purposely makes these bikes slow knowing you're going to spend some $$$$ to get them where they should already be.

Just put a larger rear pulley on and your 6th gear will be more usable, without any engine mods.

That right there is my issue. I mean they are even charging $200 for a computer download that should have been the factory programming in the first place. Why is Harley still using Narrow Band O2 Sensors. Wide Band O2s have been around for ever in the automotive world. What gives? As a former Ford Tech. I have done thousands of programming updates and as long as the vehicle was under warranty there was no charge to the customer.
