Best driving lights
And installed these Custom Dynamics Cool Magic LED's. They are very good and light up the ditches well for deer searching. Nice compliment to the HD LED headlight.

I know there is some concern as to whether there is enough clearance between the light and fender. I'll let you know in a couple weeks when I return from a 2000 mile trip to Skyline/BRP/Cherohala.
I also purchased the yellow cover which diffuses about 30%. The covers were relatively inexpensive and hopefully good for the rain and fog.
Here are some pics:

But I have to say without knowing they will hit the fender or not was just not wise, how friggin hard would it be to use a ratchet strap or two and compress the front suspension and measure the remaining clearance ?!
Please post a picture of the smashed fender and the actual clearance available if it hits !!!
BrownSanta - see post #48 on my attempt (only partial success). Also did you check out the Clearwater Erika lights - those look like the best lights for distance at night.

Bigheadted - you can see the damaged fender on post #48. I thought I had it all figured out (but I guess not). At this point, the damage has not gotten any worse so I can live with it. The truth of the matter is not one person has ever said, 'what happened to your fender?'. Lucky in that the damage is extremely symmetrical and behind the forks. When I point it out, everyone has to get in real close to even see it so that's why I can live with it (otherwise it would drive me crazy).
The only thing I plan to do with this is to re-wire it so when I hit the high beam, this will light up as well (like the aux lights).
Another possible solution to shorten the travel is use Jason's (Fabricators) Intimidator modification with single rate spring and a slight longer spacer. That may possibly stiffen up the front end enough to avoid the fender damage (and get a better ride).
