Hey guys, I just bought a new 13 streetglide. I have an 03 fatboy and riding for a while, I began having pain in my neck between my shoulders. I thought maybe it was just because it wasn't the most comfortable thing to ride. I now have my new streetglide and have the same issue with it. Im not a fan of how to bars turn in so much. I thought maybe thats why my neck gets so sore. Anyone have any idea what would cause that? If its the way the bars are, what style apes should I go with? Wanting to do something nice but not bring my hands up above the fairing. I'm 5'7 and just curious what size I should go with. If I can do it without changing cables and wiring, they would be the best. Thanks for everyone's help

Welcome to the forum.
Consider that "not above the fairing" and most comfortable may be two different things. Measure up whats comfortable, sit on other peoples bikes, etc and get what you need to be most comfortable, regardless if they go above the fairing or need new cables.

Welcome to the forum , I agree just wanted to add I am 5'7" also and found the 12.5 were right for me, I did not want go above the fairing either but like above post thats 2 different things I found comfort above the fairing.
The 12 inch handlebars got rid of my neck pain. But it put my hands slightly above the fairing, and I had to change out the cables and I had to extend my wires just a little bit. Well worth it if you ask me.
