Default Primary Chain Tensioner

So I have been reading the posts about the Hayden Primary chain auto-tensioner. I was told the 2006+(?) HD's all have auto-chain tensioners in them now.

My question is, given this, is the Hayden auto-tensioner that much better than the stock HD (for 2008 models and newer) one to actually spend the money on it and do the upgrade? Can anyone explain why it is so much better?

Thanks

I don't have an auto-tensioner in my 2006. I adjust my manual one once a year.

I run the M6 in my 08 because I didn't like how tight the stocker ratcheted and didn't want IPB problems

I don't get the auto tensioner deal, the spec was for more than 1/2 inch play forever now it is nothing. The auto tensioners only go one way right?

The HD one rachets up and locks , keeps the chain tight , to tight some say , the Hayden is just spring loaded
