Question Pager battery?

I'm setting off in a few hours for my first long over night trip with my bike. I have the security siren, and the battery (not rechargeable) powered pager. Should I just turn the pager on and leave it on for the 4-5 days that I'll be gone, or just turn the pager on when the bike will be out of my sight (hotels, etc)? How long should I expect the pager battery to last?

Thanks, Ride Safe

David

Turn it on only when needed. I would also carry an extra battery.

To conserve battery, it only really needs to be on when bike is out of site. I went the rechargeable route because of the reputation of the model with replaceable batteries "eating" batteries. So keep it off when u don't need it.

I keep an extra fob and battery in my saddlebags just extra insurance
I also change them at day light savings like my smoke detectors
I might be **** but it works lol
