Default New to engine mods. Dare I touch it??!!??

13 rgc and was thinking about cams. Gonna do pipes tuner and a/c. Want a cam for torque more than top end. 110 mph should be plenty. But I have never opened a bike motor before and not sure I should mess with it. I am mechanically inclined but not experienced.
Looking for suggestions on best cam for application and should I mess with it myself or pony up and get a shop to do it.
Thanks guys and ride safe

If you have to ask "dare I touch it?", I would say absolutely not.

Well, as you have probably read, if your gonna buy all this new parts, take a look at one of the sponsors on here. They will recommend the proper cam, exhaust and tuner. They should also send the proper map for the tuner to meet your performance needs.

I would recommend an Andrews 57 in your 103 if ya aren't planning any compression changes or head work.

You have already taken half of the difficulty out of it by believing you can do it. I say go for it. You would not believe how unbelievably straight forward these engines are and a cam swap is super easy. When I did mine I think the most difficult part of it was probably convincing myself that this has to be harder than it actually was. Get yourself a good tq wrench and a manual and go for it.
