I'm sure it does. You can wrap it or deal with it. I rode several thousand miles with 2-1 thunderheader with no heat wrap or heat shields and it wasn't that big of a deal. If you are riding around stop light to stop light it can get hot. It never bothered me enough to care. What else is done to your bike or are you putting this on an otherwise stock harley?

Yeah it is a stock harley, just cams and a tuner. Nothing really to the motor, I was just concerned due to the placement of the pipe.
