I used to think a few of my riding buddies were odd for wearing them. Then on a trip to Sturgis I gave it a try - and WOW. I wear them all the time now. You can actually hear better without the wind noise. The bike, the pipes, the radio, the traffic. Makes for a much more comfortable - and safer - ride.

Most of my miles are racked up going into and out of London. For those trips, I'm not cracking 30mph for more than 60 seconds at a time, so I don't bother with earplugs for that. On longer rides (say, down to Kent this Sunday past) the earplugs are in before I even get on the bike.
I use YurBuds from http://yurbuds.com/technology/, they lock into place and don't slip out when putting on my full face helmet. I use the ones that are shown on the link provided, they make a lot of different style too. Converted my comm headset to accept that plug to use instead of helmet speakers.
Thanks for the link, these look great................ I will be ordering a pair.
[IMG][/IMG] I use these for surfing and riding, you can get the ones with a small pin hole for surfing use. But I like the pin hole, it lets a little sound in while keeping most of the wind noise out. They have never come out or loose on the bike. Lost a couple over ten years in bigger surf. Come in sizes also! Large stay in for me. Doc's Pro-Plugs....

but...funny thing is I wear earplugs every night for sleep...
Only three things can wake me.....Wife, Dog and alarm clock.
You are a fool for not wearing them. You will discover that in time. (When it's too late. The damage is irreversible.) You may think it's funny now, but you won't when your ears ring all the time. Growing old brings with it alot of unavoidable ****. This problem is avoidable and trust us, you will want to avoid it.
I have 2 pair of custom fit earplugs from Ear Inc. They were rather pricy but they are really nice. Problem is finding someone that makes them. There is a guy that goes to the gun shows around here that made my first pair. The second pair I got got directly from Ear Inc at the shot show. One pair is for riding and one pair I keep in my range bag.

(it sure wasn't from riding harleys!...this is my freedom...and I'll ride like I want)
