Just reinstalled my rear wheel on my '08 yesterday and it installs exactly like the print out BlkVlvtRydr posted. Thin spacer on left side between frame rail and pulley. Thick spacer on right side between wheel and brake caliper arm. Not familiar with the wider tire setup on the 09's.

Looking at the pics it looks centered to me. Maybe your fender isn't lining back up right. Just a thought.

I have the spacers installed correct but it's like the swingarm is 3/8" off to the left side. Is that possible?

i think if you look at few more, you will find that not all are centered perfectly in the middle.i just put a tire on my 2000 road glide.it wasnt in the center, but i tweaked the fender with the tire off to make it look a little better.like i said, check a few others out.my 2006 ultra isnt centered perfectly either.

With the fender installed the left hand side of the rear tire is right next to the edge of the fender, while on the right side there is enough clearance to stick my finger up along side. I guess I'll have to go check on another one somewhere to see if that is right but it doesn't seem right to me.

Did you install the bearings in the correct sequence? I believe the right one gets seated first and than install the sleeve and left bearing. Its in the book, and the reason is so the correct bearing gets seated first so the alignment is not off. I just went thru this when swapping wheels on my 07.

I didn't realize there was a correct sequence when installing the bearings. I'll have to double check that.
