Default apes on the ultra
just bought a 2013 ultra n amongst alotta other things im gettin 14inch apes put on it in a couple weeks.Been discussin this with a bunch of dudes at work that ride an im gettin mixed stories n opinions on this.Im wonderin ,will it effect my ride on the longer distancese?anyone....

Yes it will absolutely affect your long distance rides, in the following way: you will not be a cripple at the end of the day.

I just picked up my 2013 a couple weeks ago and I'm wanting to go with some 12-14" bars as well. I really like that riding position much better. Have you picked the bars you want yet? Are you having them installed at the dealer?

I did an iron butt with 12" monkey bars on my EGC with no issues whatsoever. Make sure that the people who are offering their opinion have actual real world experience. Many people will claim stuff only to be talking out their rear end.

Yep, a big improvement, it's the best upgrade that have done on my Ultra.

I have 12.5 apes on my Ultra and love them. As mentioned at the end of the day your body will thank you for them.

Best upgrade I have done .\. I went with 13" I think 16" would be better. Handles like it has power steering.
