Default Streetglide seat

Is the Road King classic and the street glide seat the same? I know they will fit I just want to know if they are the same.

no.

it is possible that they share seat pans- the plastic base "seat pans" ( which have numbers on them) maybe used for different models seats- this can cause confusion if the numbers are accepted as a "seat part number"-

but in this case the top foam, how it is cut and the covering can be really different.

the new frame SG seat comes in more than one version...the 09/10 version- which i use- and the 11+ version which I believe has a narrower nose ( so better for the legs to hit the ground) but has a much larger rear section. better for pass., not for sleek looks though

A friend has a Road King Standard he feels he sits lower to the ground in the street glide seat and wants one. He has short legs, I just thought the Road King Classic seat looked very similar to the Street Glide seat and I do know where he can get one of them.

You may already know this but a stock Street Glide sits slightly lower than a stock Road King. Not the seat, but the whole bike.

By far one of the best mods to my RKC so far. At 5'7 it feels like I sit a little lower and since it has more of a squared off bucket in back it feels like I sit further back and no more tailbone area burn. As far as comfort I can't comment as I was born with the fat belly no butt syndrome so any seat over time hurts me, it will going down to MCC in the near future to help with that I hope.

I ride an '08 StreetGlide, and I can assure you, that the stock seat from an '11 FLHX is much more comfortable than the stock seat from an '08 FLHX. The '11 seat sits you down about 1/4" more, and back by about an inch or so. And it's much better padded.

Not When the Road King has been lowered, and he tried a street glide seat on his bike that's what wants.

As I said...
