Your fault codes may be setting the ECM into a "limp home mode" before doing anything, clean and tighten your battery cables and cycle the key to reset fault code. May save you a trip to the dealer
Check the connections at the TCA behind the air cleaner. I had several problems with wires breaking just before that connector. You can ohm them out and do a wiggle test if necessary. There is also a bulletin out on the connector pins fretting and making poor contact. I would try unplugging the connector and looking closely at the pins and then plugging it back in. If that doesn't work try wiggling the wires and pushing them towards the connector, if your throttle starts working you probably have a broken wire.
mrfiker: there are the codes P 1511 & P 2135 "b" C1095.. do your magic. checkers: cleaned and tighten battery cables. vanman59 : checked connections look ok..
Thanks...
The first 2 codes is putting you in the area of the connector on the throttle body.I removed mine and reasted it a couple times and that has seemed to cure the problem,I'm sure it will pop up again though. The 3rd code is front brake switch open.
had the same thing happen to me yesterday. It threw the p1511 code. I read somewhere that the sun beating on the grip causing it to get hot and or the throttle body can cause the malfunction. I think this was my problem because my grip was pretty hot from the sun. After i got it home and let cool in the shade for a while it started right up no problems.
