Default headlight upgrade for 2001 EG

Has anyone put in the 68342-05 clear lense light in an older bike like mine? I'm curious about Harley saying some models may need to change the trim ring to 67726-71A.
Thanks.

It should fit fine.

I used 67700032 in mine which is the dual halogen light and love it. Got it off of a forum member here awhile back.

I didn't have to change the trim ring. Bolted right up fine.

I got the newer head light on my 2001EGC. I just installed a Xeon light kit also.

I put the exact same light in my 2003 FLHTI. I did switch out the entire bucket assembly because someone before had stripped out the screw holes and ran three different screws into the bucket. I think the bucket assembly kit was around $20 - $30 at my local dealer.

I too have have the dual halogen light but I had to change to the bucket the light mounts into. Trim ring was the same though.

I highly recommend the dual halogen light!
