Pressure settings
One thing I've definitely noticed as far as shock settings.
On my Dyna, if I didn't pre set the load for a passenger,handling at slow speeds was very problematic.
It's the same thing with the street glide.
If I have the shocks set at to low psi with the wife on back,the front end gets really light ,especially during stops and slow speed traffic driving. It's a completely different feel when the shocks are set correctly. The front end wonder at low speeds is eliminated.
That's one easy to feel indicator of where your shocks should be set.
