This was the exact issue I had with my 09 SG with 25k on the clock. After doing a lot of research on this forum and online I learned that it appeared to be the starter clutch inside the starter. I replaced the starter clutch assembly and the problem was resolved. I started a thread about it and the link is below. I also have a new SE compensator that I have yet to install but waiting to get some garage time. In my case it resolved the issue and it has not yet returned. Good Luck with the fix and it really is not a bad job to do yourself.
