Never really had a bike without one. Just like its foreign to those of you that aren't used to it, it feels strange when I ride a bike that doesn't have one.

Default Heal Shifter

I use it occasionally, I purchased the heel shifter lever that allows it to be pushed out of the way so the entire floor board can be used. If you park on a steep slope getting the bike out of first can be a challenge, and the heel shifter makes it easier.

I use mine all the time. In fact, I adjusted my front lever so low I cannot slide my toe under it so I have to use the heal shifter.

It's still on my bike, but I never use it. I like the way it looks though - kinda goes with the whole retro vibe of the bike.

I use mine all the time, and would not be without it. Shifting up is easier for me.

The only way I shift. Had one on my '76 shovelhead and used it on that one too. Convenient and comfortable.

I think if you have a man-sized foot (12 or above) you probably are going to like having it removed for more room on the board.
