Not happy to hear Harley's response. I just bought a used 2010 Ultra Classic. All the lights are LED and the previous owner connected the tour pack lights to the blinker. If I use the radio, I get static with the blinker on only. Each time it blinks, it creates static. Does not happen with Ipod though. I would hate to disconnect this feature, since I like the way it looks and I think it is a great added safety feature. I may just leave it and live with it. As mentioned, only when blinker on, and safety is most important.
Thank you for providing this information. It was driving me crazy.
I get static too with my blinkers on (custom dynamics led's) I love the lights, very very bright.
I will keep them on no matter what, I'm going to start with the ground wires I hooked up when I installed the lights.
I have found that problems in electrical circuits especially lights it's often a bad ground giving me problems.
Great info. I was testing out a headset tonight and had hissing in the rider right ear only. Nothing at all in the passenger headset. I found the y-connector for the extra brake lights and the hissing went away when I removed it. The y-connector is right behind the ECM on the very front of the rear fender under the seat. Guess I'll just leave it off since it only gives me 2 extra lights and I have the Tour Pak lights too.
Has anyone found a solution to this running light/turn signal wiring harness causing interference with the intercom? I have the HD y harness and stock turn signals.
