After getting the agitators 19/18 I've noticed that I wasn't as flat footed as I was before. Did a quick search and I found that it does raise the seat height by about a half inch. My question is who has lowered the bike with this size rear wheel? My main concern is the tire (200/55) rubbing the fender and or wires. All opinions and suggestions are welcome.
The new tire should be a low profile tire and there's not much height difference from the stock wheel/tire. I went from a stock wheel/tire to an 18" Anarchy wheel and even with 13" rear shocks, I could not feel that much difference. With stock 12" shocks, unless your really short legged to begin with, you should not notice a difference in height while sitting on the bike.
As far as lowering the bike, no go with the 12" shocks or the ride will be worse then it is now but it's your bike and your comfort, so do what you have to.
Use this to compare your old set up to your new set up and your see the difference is very minimal..
180/65-16 is 25.3 dia. 200/55-18 is 26.7 dia. = 1.4 divided by 2 =.7 almost 3/4". That 200 tire is made for a 6-6.5" rim also, not a 5" rim, good luck with it.

The shocks should compress at least 1/2" when sitting on the bike so that 1/4 +/- should not be noticeable. Your right about the 200 on that rim but some people rather have the wow factor instead of the safety factor.......

weird, the shocks dont compress on the stock set up?
I'm running 18/21 with a 180 tire on the rear. Mine is lowered 2.25 in the rear with progressive 10.75 shocks and a 2" drop in the front with a progressive drop in kit. Never rubbed the fender or wires.
