If you plan on eventually chroming your lower legs, I would go with chrome bars. If you plan to powder coat them (I did), then I would go with black bars (I did).
I just reread your post and see that you will have chrome lower legs. So my opinion stands.

A lot of sweet looking rides. Thanks for all the input and pics. 50 Below and Texas Fat Boy have me leaning back towards the chrome since I am chroming the front end (parts already ordered). I am going to go ahead and order the chrome MBB's and hopefully they are in before my R&R from Afghanistan in July. Maybe I can send the black ones back and get a credit. If not I can easily sell them on here since I get a good deal on them.
I am slowly blacking mine out but I think imma keep some chrome too if I don't get tired of cleaning what I do keep chrome. Hate spending more time cleaning something then it spends staying clean.
