I am slowly blacking mine out but I think imma keep some chrome too if I don't get tired of cleaning what I do keep chrome. Hate spending more time cleaning something then it spends staying clean.

Basically I think if you have chrome bars, you should have chrome forks. Black bars, black forks.
On my Dyna I had black bars and stock fork legs. I always wished I had bought chrome bars. Something just doesn't flow right to me when there's a disconnect between the bars and fork legs.
Kinda like when someone puts a chrome swingarm on a Softail. It's incongruous. You wouldn't just dip the rear third of a rigid frame in a chrome tank, would you?
Being in Afghanistan gives me a lot of time to think on what route I want to go. Seems to be costing me a lot of money. Haha. Keep the pics coming. I like to see all the black and chrome ideas. Like I mentioned earlier, I think the black MBB's will look fine with how I am doing things. The Ness black deep cut fork boots will match my SE Hvy Breather cover and I am going to add the black deep cut bag latches. Keeping the lower chrome legs. I am looking forward to July to getting home and seeing how my "vision" turned out. I found a local Indy who is going to pick the bike up from my house and have everything installed and waiting for me. I wanted to do some of the work myself but I also want to maximize my riding time. Need more pics!
Here's my mix of chrome/black....in retrospect I'd have gone black but that's because now I'll eventually go all black. When I got the bars "I was going to be happy with just a 21, apes and bags".....you can see that has changed.
Sharp,
I like your use of color contrasts. That front end is whicked looking, and I am typically not a fan of the big tired front ends, but ya pulled it off nicely.

Thanks. W/ the contrast wheel I think it helps lead to some mix of black/chrome elsewhere.
