Default Injector cleaner needed?

Rode my '97 FLHRI into work yesterday, and she was awesome. Rode her home and she was awful. Ran rough, flat spot between 40-50 mph, stalling at low speeds. Checked the sparks and they are fine, so I phoned my mates at the garage, they said first thing is to get a good injector cleaner through her.

NO REDEX was what they said.

What is recommended here?

most forum members here are in the USA, so probably different products are available in Scotland than what would be suggested.

you could try a forum search to manually clean the throttle body/ air bleeds on the magnetti marelli system, I've seen tips posted a few times

Seafoam is what you are going to hear a lot of. Good stuff. STP makes good also.

Definitely clean the air bleeds. This has caused more problems on the MM injection and is a quick cheap fix.

I'll dig out my haynes manual and have a look as much as I can.

Sounds like it could also be bad gas if you had such a sudden change. Did you fill up just ahead of this?

No, but I did go from just under half a tank to just red lining, so it could be crud at the bottom of the tank, I suppose.

I dont know if you can get Redline products in Scotland, but Ive been using them (oils and fuel cleaners) in all my cars, trucks and bikes for the past 20 years with good results
