I changed to a S/E compensator on my 08 road king and still get that lock-up / bang noise. Could this be a bad battery, or connection? thanks for input.

Thanks for the reply. What do you think would be the cure? New starter drive clutch, gear? ect? I am reluctant to go to the dealer.
