Easy way to JUDGE a cam is LOOK at the Intake close* of any cam suggested....
IF Cams INTAKE doesn't close EARLIER than 30* you are wasting your time.. ANYTHING later than 30* closing will Require more changes to obtain compression you LOSE from the intake LATE closing.
I would suggest a SE255 intake closes at 25* (what I have in my 09King)
Other Cams with early intake closing are
SnS 551 19* .......Easy Start Feature on Both SnS
SnS 557 @ 27*
Andrews 48 with 29*
Good lift on all of them.
IF you go with a later closing intake (Bigger Number) you'll NEED to add compression and that means Heads and OR pistons....
The Bold cams are the ones I'd go with.
Cams are a Give and Take. Don't be fooled here.
had cams in my 06 EGC tc88 se203, loved the low end power but the vibration at 80 got old fast, now I'm riding a stock 2013 Ultra limited. I miss the passing power but don't want the vibration. would a cam job cost me the smooth ride at 80-90 mph?

Vibration might of been coming from the crank..
Give yer 13 motor more time to break in. You need at least 10,000 on it

Mine didn't, but then again, I did the whole stage 4 kit, she purrs anywhere between 75 and 95, smooth as glass. 259 SE cams

This is the first issue I have read about cams causing vibrations at speed. Is this a common issue??

I have seen a couple of these Stage 4 builds like this one. I bet you don't have any issue with low end torque either. You probably have trouble keeping the rubber on the tire. I was very impressed by this upgrade even with the canned map.
Getting my parts together. I ordered the Gary Beatty cam tool (he shipped same day) Monday and also ordered some exhaust gaskets from D&D. Today (Tuesday) I ordered a 2013 Ultra service manual. Ordering Cams on Friday so as long as everything is in stock I hope to begin the install by this time next week. I'm really looking forward to getting started.
Great advice from Joe. I agree with MOST of it, but after I did mine I had a pretty knowledgable guy ask me if I'd aligned the oil pump. I said no, I never removed it from the cam plate, why would I? He asked what my crank run out measured and, of course, I hadn't checked. He then asked if I was sure that I had replaced the cam plate and oil pump in the same position on the crank that I'd removed it, or could the crank have been 180 degrees off. If you have excessive crank run out, and if you install it 180 degrees from where you removed it, you COULD have a crank beating up your oil pump. Makes sense to me and, of course, now I'm obsessed to the point where I will be going back in one of these days.
Not trying to step on toes or anything I'm really just curious to understand this how can you get the crank 180 degrees off when the sprocket that goes over the end of the crank is keyed I will only go on in one place? Correct?
I'm going to get the cam spacer kit that comes with 5 or 6 different size spacer from my local dealer. I want to have everything I need for the install. I googled and I keep coming up with this part # 25284-08 but they do not list what model years the kit is for. Will this kit work for my 2013? If not do you know the part #?

I think you're right, I was back in my cam check this past weekend and saw the error in that.
