cig lighter issue

noticed yesterday that my cig lighter isnt working anymore so checked fuse and all is good there. this common issue? im guessing its the lighter itself that has went bad.

Need to check the socket with a meter. Sometimes a wire come come loose off of the back of the socket too.

im hoping that what happened but gonna wait to pull fairing off till i ca nget another one in case i need to replace instead of pulling fairing multiple times. cant mind my meter, neeeded many times now that ive lost it lol

Just plug in a phone charger and see if that works instead of using a meter.

how do you guys think i found out it isnt working? plugged things in lol i need to see if power is getting to in from the backside is where i wanted the meter.
