FOR $4 at Harbor Freight you can get a pair of oil filter pliers look like big channel locks just for removing oil filters .
Then from now on buy a K&N 171 CRHOME or Black oil filter with the nut on the end .
Or just keep smashing THEM WITH THE GIANT PLIERS

The K&N one is more expensive than the HD filter and I personally think that bolt hanging off the end looks cheesy. But that's just me!

Just get an oil filter strap wrench, never any issues.
