I installed the Kury LED Halo headlight ring on my FLHTK. Looks good, but my radio speakers are now not up to par. My Hogpod tweeters seem to have stopped working completely. My front boom speakers seem to be down on volume. The Halo light is a simple, but time consuming hook up..two wires hook into connectors behind the headlight. No fairing removal. No work near any speaker hookup. Any ideas? I hate to take everything apart again.
I wouldn't overlook the obvious .... Open it back up and check all the connections and wires ( all the wires ) to see if maybe you've pinched one ... just my .02 cents worth!
There are two wires just behind the headlight plug. One orange with black stripe (power) and one black (ground). The wire have connecters. Easy plug & play. Biggest problem is holding everything together at one time while screwing things back together. Only wire I could have pinched is the Halo wire & it is working fine. Hog Pod tweeter is definitly not working.
You problem is (I'm pretty sure) the ground plug that plugs onto/under the triple tree. I had this happen last week when I put in a new headlight. One little tug on the headlight wiring was enough to pull it off of that ground.
I had two spade connectors on that triple tree ground. When my radio stopped working I looked, and noticed one was empty. Sure enough there was a solitary wire hanging there. It sounds like yours is just barely hanging on. Plugged it back on and voila!
If you're looking at the bike head on, it is under your radio on the right (left side of bike).
Good luck

Reason: Grammar
What T-Dog said. The tweeter pod just tie into your speakers, nothing you did should of jarred those connections. I would check that ground, you might of pulled something while trying to juggle everything puttin it back together.
Waiting on wife to come home from work. I need an extra set of hands. Should I remove fairing? I've had it off several times. It's a pain but......I don't know how I can look for loose connectors with the fairing on?

Yup, gotta take the front fairing off. I had to do it twice last week and can do it by myself in less than 5 mins now. It gets easier every time.

lay a thick towel or fender protector on the front fender. Then just lay the fairing and headlight face first on top of the fender while you steady it with your thighs. Unplug the headlight, and two connections for the halo. Done. Reverse for install. Easy
