So I'm on my way to work this afternoon. Cruising down the highway on my RK at about 70 mph and enjoying the gorgeous sunshine and 75 degree temps. I'm right behind some oblivious assclown in an SUV when all of a sudden he has a sudden urge to wash his windshield! Who does that? I got a second shower even before I got to work! I couldn't even give him the finger when I got up along side him cuz he was off in la la land and never knew I was there!
They're out there folks. In full force. Watch out, be careful, and ride safe. Rant over.
Urgh what a jerk! I bet you he uses his brakes when he wants to stop, and hits the accelerator to go too!!!
I've never once in my entire life looked to see who was behind me before using my windshield washers..........I don't understand how this makes this guy an "assclown"
Just for the record...I wasn't right behind him, or tailgating as some are insinuating. I was merely behind him.
The point of my op was to point out as we know that bike season is upon us. I was simply trying to remind everyone to be aware of the oblivious cagers out there that claim to not see us and be safe.
If he had slammed on his brakes or changed lanes without signaling or cut in front of you I'd understand that....
I'm failing to see the connection between an oblivious driver and a motorist operating the windshield washing mechanism on their vehicle.

Look, no one is twisting your words--you said in your original post that you were "right behind" the SUV.
Consider your experience as a riding lesson--if you are running at 70 mph and get some overspray, you are too close and should back off.
Also, work on your etiquette, there are plenty of cagers who don't like motorcycles and flipping one off under the circumstances is a bad idea.

Four days ago two of my buddies were riding near Lake Murry SC. A guy in a car was texting and started to run off the road. He over corrected and hit my buddy head on on his road king. It killed him and his wife instantly.

Very sorry to hear about your friend, my condolences. Anybody caught texting in a moving automobile should get an automatic jail sentence of at least ten days, and have their vehicle impounded. If the texting and driving causes an accident, 30 days in jail, if it causes death, the driver should get an automatic 30 yr jail term. This texting and driving bulls---- has to stop! I was almost run off the road last week by some dummy with her phone in her lap, I saw her before she got me, otherwise in the ditch I would have went.
