Angry No go....uh oh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was riding my '06 EGC home for lunch, came down a hill downshifted, braked and came to a stop. After traffic cleared, I let the clutch out and NOTHING...........crap. It has 76,000 miles on it, and absolutely gave me no warning. No whining, no noise, nothing. The clutch lever seems to work, and the tranny goes into different gears, but no forward movement. You can hear some sort of metal sound like something is spinning, and I noticed the speedometer would show a speed, but I wasnt moving......oh and it wasnt the drive belt, its still on.

Whats yall guess?????

My dad had that happen on a Victory motorcycle. It was the spline on the drive pulley.

Based on your "Ride it like you stole it", I would say clutch has to be gone....

Should be an ease fix. Let us know.

Im hoping its just the clutch. Ive had to adjust the lever/cable over the the last couple of years, and at times, I have thought to myself, "the clutch just slipped" in very hot weather. As far as riding it hard....its a geezer glide guys, not a bar hopper or a sporty. I seldom if ever, get it above 3500 rpms, in between shifts.

If it's the drive pulley it shouldn't be that much.
Not sure about labor if your paying someone.

You guys were spot on...........it is the drive pulley. As it turns out, Harley has put out an updated pulley, and nut, which tells me the old one wasnt too good. Anyway, I should be back on the road shortly!

Any idea on how much it's gonna cost for the repair?
