I wouldn't swap a RoadKing for a Streetglide. Around here, everybody & I mean EVERYBODY has a black SG. Your bike is paid for. Owning the title is a great feeling.

I recently traded my 04 Road King Classic for an 09 Ultra Classic, mainly because the wife wanted a more cofortable seat and tunes. I do enjoy the tunes and the bike but I did not think there was a big difference in the ride between the two.

For the OP, are you looking for a lifestyle change; i.e., riding much more than you have in the past?

Personally, there are better uses for the $10K or more that changing bikes will cost you to get a 2013.

Suggestion: If your current bike is boring you, there are other options, including a new paint job, some relatively simple engine work, etc.

As for the new bikes, just read the threads in the Touring forum from owners trying to get rid of the heat, etc.
