I'm not your average HD owner for sure! I went to two dealers in the Dallas area was basically ignored my almost everyone in the store. Was looking for a good used bike at a fair price. I guess because I was not throwing money in the air when I walked in the door or made an over the air announcement that I was in the house to buy a NEW bike, I got basically no respect. BTW, not bragging but I can and could have paid cash for any bike HD sells but I choose not too and I did pay cash for the one I bought. My monthly payments go to my kids in college. With that being said, I bought online am happy with the purchase and don't plan to donate anymore money than I have to the network of HD stealers. I've always wanted a RK before I die and I have one.
Sorry to hear about your experience with the Dallas Dealers. The Dealers in Fort Worth and Corynth are not that way. Plenty of friendly salespeople.
cobra duals with 4 inch rineharts and I can hear my radio just fine when I'm on it at 80... may want to check your auto volume settings
Well what you consider music may not be the same as what I consider music.
Personally I like to hear the full fidelity of the music I am listening to. Not just a bunch of noise competing with road, engine and exhaust noise.
And unless you are wearing stereo earbuds you really can't hear the music like I like to listen to it.
Wow, now I'm really confused. I should have tried the radio on the test.
I'll agree with his statement on the interstate, not the backroads which is where I spend most of my time. I listen to mine often. You won't regret it.
As stated before..... You'll see all the empty spots where 2 grand of chrome will look good once you get some miles on it :-)
As for dealers - I hear ya!!!!! I have a hard time handing my hard earned money over to people that ignore me. I don't want anyone kissin my butt or anything, but just to be friendly isn't asking too much. That's why I bought my first bike from Cowboys in Beaumont, TX. Their incredible service is why I bought my second from them.
After buying chrome from the other 6 or 7 HD dealers in Houston, they are all nice now, but too late. They lost my business for buying a bike from any of them years ago......
Now granted, you're not going to hear the music like I was sitting in front of my Bose system at the house, or even in my Mustang, but going down the road I can hear mine just fine....I wouldn't be without one, nor the cruise control, lockable saddlebags, and I can add CB radio if I want...I've added lowers and a chopped tour box (see sig pic)... Both bikes good choices but I like the SG over the RK, but that's just me....that's why they make both....different likes
