As stated before..... You'll see all the empty spots where 2 grand of chrome will look good once you get some miles on it :-)
As for dealers - I hear ya!!!!! I have a hard time handing my hard earned money over to people that ignore me. I don't want anyone kissin my butt or anything, but just to be friendly isn't asking too much. That's why I bought my first bike from Cowboys in Beaumont, TX. Their incredible service is why I bought my second from them.
After buying chrome from the other 6 or 7 HD dealers in Houston, they are all nice now, but too late. They lost my business for buying a bike from any of them years ago......
It's bikes like yours that make it hard NOT to want a RK btw! Beautiful bike!
Sorry to hear about your experience with the Dallas Dealers. The Dealers in Fort Worth and Corynth are not that way. Plenty of friendly salespeople.
Try Paris HD. Down home atmosphere, sales staff will notice you and offer help, good selection used bikes. People come fro Tyler to OK to Texarkana for better deals, and being treated well. No riders lounge with latte tho.
Hey gghostrrider, which dealer you thinking about in ATL? I got mine at Cartersville. They were ok. I wouldn't say amazing customer service. It felt a little more like cattle herding, but it was alright. Good luck on whatever you choose. I was at Chattahoochie in Columbus, GA last weekend and they had a sweet *** 13 SG on the floor. Vivid black with painted inner fairing, Rineharts, CVO bags, chrome front end, and chrome agitators. It was sexy as hell. Think it was at 25k just fyi.
It's like a leap of faith to move from metric to Harley and or to classic bikes.
Forget the daft tales in the pub of sub sonic speeds and the front wheel being off the ground for the first 3 gears, welcome to real world biking and great rides out.
I have full blown Harley itch with a case of Harley hives. I lurk this forum almost every waking hour. I had already decided which dealer I was going to buy from because of the way I was treated on prior trips. Today I went to another dealer just to see colors my chosen dealer didn't have and to try to make a decision between RK, RKC, and SG. On my way out the door after being ignored for the third or fourth trip a sales guy connected with me and I test rode a SG, even got on the freeway! Best test ever, good mixed ride. When I decide to buy I guess I'll have to pick a dealer too!
I believe your pic is taken in front of KCHD, and I have been extremely happy with them as a dealer.
x2 on the Corinth dealership, they usually meet you before you get in the store. They let me try diff. seats and anything I thought of there on the floor. They did not know I was planning on buying it anyways.
But have bought 3 bikes from them
Hey I have had the itch more than most...I have owned the Ultra, Heritage and the Street Glide. But I now own the Road King and I love it. I thought I needed the radio but I found I didn't use it much and the Road King rides a bit better in my opinion. Buy what you want but Don't ignore the Road King...I was surprised I liked it the most of any of the Harleys I have had. Just saying....Street Glides are cool but Road Kings are just plain nice.
I believe your pic is taken in front of KCHD, and I have been extremely happy with them as a dealer.
Actually KCHD is my #1 choice, this pic is at Fraziers. A guy in the parking lot gave me rave reviews of Fraziers, he also recommended KCHD. KCHD has always treated me right, Fraziers is closer and this last trip was a good one.
I'm not your average HD owner for sure! I went to two dealers in the Dallas area was basically ignored my almost everyone in the store. Was looking for a good used bike at a fair price. I guess because I was not throwing money in the air when I walked in the door or made an over the air announcement that I was in the house to buy a NEW bike, I got basically no respect. BTW, not bragging but I can and could have paid cash for any bike HD sells but I choose not too and I did pay cash for the one I bought. My monthly payments go to my kids in college. With that being said, I bought online am happy with the purchase and don't plan to donate anymore money than I have to the network of HD stealers. I've always wanted a RK before I die and I have one.
