FlHTCU 07 pinging problems
Has anyone cleared up the pinging problem without spending an extra $2000.00 in upgrades ??? I have 4000 miles on my 07 ultra and it has been pinging since I bought it(Labor Day weekend ).I run only the highest octaine fuel I can buy and it doesnt happen under heavy load ,only light to moderate load ,Hell it was pinging doing 85 in 6th downhill @ 75 deg,and too top it off I think I may have squashed the wristpins ,she seems to have what sounds to me like valvetrain noise between 2000-3000rpms. my service manager says he has testridden the bike and says What Noise???They dont have one of these smiliey faces strangling a servive manager so I guess I'll just have too
. Any way if someone has made HD admit to thier problem and come up with a solution please let me know before I have to put 850lbs of oops thru my local dealer window. Thanks Al

Has your dealer completed the "enhancement to refine the calibration of the Electronic Fuel Injection system for original equipment (OE) motorcycles, CVO, and all street legal calibrated vehicles" at no charge for your new 2007 Twin Cam with Cruise Drive yet? HD sent out a letter toowners inNovember of 2006. The quoute is from a follow up letter I got from HDlast week. I think it applies to'07s built betweenspecific dates but it's worth checking since you saidyou bought it on LaborDay.

I did that 0903 upgrade last week on my SE UC - it took away the ping... AWESOME!!

Im not hearing the good reports on TMax as I hoped I would. Just found out its a map based setup too. I thought it just retuned to what the motor needed, but I now hear it can only adjust a certain amount and you must have the proper base map for it to work off of. Let us know how yours does.
