It's taken 2 months but I finally got the inner fairing back from the painter and installed it. I had it painted gloss black and in my humble opinion it looks fantastic!
I just wish the weather would get it's act together up here.
Looks great!! My question is, would you do it again?
I've been reading on what is involved with taking the inner fairing off and I must say, it looks.....well....."involved" to say the least.[]
Would I do it again? ... Sigh... If it wasn't done and knowing what it took to do it and knowing how it looks now, yeah. It was a pain in the rear, no doubt. I will tell you this though, I won't be taking it apart again unless there is a REALLY good reason, like something is broken. It is just took too much work and there are too many things that can go wrong.
I do love the way it looks and the end result was worth the effort.
If you are planning on doing it, please heed my words, GET A SERVICE MANUAL, you will need it.
