100 degrees?
Anyway, for you folks coming down for bike week next week, you better bring your sunscreen as it will be nice.
Hope to see you in Daytona!
The temperature gauge sensor is located inside the fairing. It is always warmer in there due to the radio, light, etc. Take that fairing off and relocate the sensor to the frame behind the steering neck. You'll find that the thermometer is a whole lot more accurate. I painted mine black and attached it with a small velcro peice....one could use silicone.
Air temp gage on the bike said it was over 100 degrees today. Only got to 83...was in the garage while at work. What a useless gage.

HDMOCO knows this gauge is inaccurate and they won't do anything to correct it.
WHY??
Because they have NO INCENTIVE to fix it.
They sell a considerable number of oil temp gauges. And where are they mounted?
In the A.A.Temp gauge opening (people remove the useless A.A. T. gauge).
Thus giving HD even more money. Fix the useless AAT they would lose sales and money

I pay 18K and up for my bike I expect the gauges to be accurate.
Ask yourself, if HD can't produce and install a accurate simple outdoor thermometer, then how
accurate is the oil pressure, volts, or the REPLACEMENT OIL TEMP YOU JUST BOUGHT????
I said it before and I'll do it again.
Write a minimum of 3 certified letters complaining of this to the OWNER of the dealership and the the service manager, and CEO of HD.
File a online complaint to the FTC ( enough complaints they will act and FORCE HD to correct it).
Keep copies of these letters, all work orders.
Then Naming the same people above as defendants, file a small claims court action.
when the dealers and HD get enough summons from their customers, things will change.
They will get tired of lost time and wagesfrom having toappear in court.
BUT THE ONLY WAY TO GET ANYTHING POSITIVE DONE IS WE ALL HAVE TO BAND TOGETHER AND FORCE OUR LEGITIMATE CLAIMS!!!!!!!

You like to bitch about everything how 'bout coming up with some ideas to correct the things that **** you off instead of just filing lawsuits and writing letters.
