ok guys, need a little help. When I bought my Road King it had an aftermarket fender on it. I was lucky enough to find an OEM same color used fender in great shape. All of the factory holes were drilled and I thought I was good to go. I ordered all of the trim pieces, but when they showed up I found that the script does not line up in the holes. I have attached a couple of pictures from what I have found. anyone know where to go with this? I need to know where to find the script with the pins equal distance apart from one another.
I tried the 3M tape on an Electraglide fender emblem, but it is too thick. And like the OP said, the emblem is too intricate. I ended up taking the emblem to a sign shop, and they cut out vinyl ones for me for $14.
I used blue painters tape to make a template on the fender, lined up the pins, marked with a pen on the tape and drilled new holes. BUT I was working from a blank. Will the script hide the original holes?
