I have a small fluid leak that I just can't track down. Not a big leak, but 1-2 drops per week. It's dripping off the clutch cable under the engine, but I'm having a problem finding where it's coming from.
Have recently changed all 3 fluids, replaced cam cover gasket (I thought that was the culprit, but it wasn't) and checked O-ring on clutch cable going into trans.
It was leaking the same amount before the fluid change, so that didn't cause it.
When I had my '96 cop bike, I had a leak just like you described. Turned out to be when the po installed a new clutch cable, he didn't route it the same as the original. From vibration , it wore a hole in the housing and started leaking trans oil. Easy fix , stupid reason.,,,
I'm going to have to check the clutch cable for this tonight. I'm thinking now this could be it, I've already had to have the throttle cable replaced after it snapped due to PO's routing of the cable when he put on the apes. I have braided stainless cables, though, would it still be possible to wear through the sheathing?
Thanks!

It could be your clutch cable sheave leaking at the crimp where it screws into the trans. Try the powder and see, my 07 did it, it seeped for years and was wet all the way up to the cam cover. Be sure you clean that area well, it can drip for weeks it seems like.
