I am thinking I have read that the 160 Metzler rubs on the belt guard, where the Dunlop same size does not. However, I cannot find a listing for the 160/80-16 E3 Dunlop anymore. Here is the size that is the same as stock (even though it shows a different number) but is an E3 rather than the 402. The E3 wears MUCH longer than a 402 does. https://www.denniskirk.com/dunlop/re...prd/542893.sku

Check Metzeler's website, they may also make a 77, which is what an MU is (or there abouts). I have used Avons whose 150/80 is available as a 77. IMHO a 160 is too wide for a stock 3" rim.

As an aside I do have a 160 squeezed into my Glide, but on a 4.5" rim, however that is another story!

after further research the metzeler 150/80 is a 77 load rating, think that's what I will go with until I can afford some wheels. Thanks all!!

Ended up getting metzeler 880 front and rear, with a 150/80 on the back. The bike handles awesome, glad to have those dunlops gone!! I'm pretty sure I could have easily put a 160 on the back.......next time.

Thanks all!!
