i figured that it came from the factory with this much fluid in it and brand new pads, and when i put new pads on, it should work fine. it's not like the master cylinder is making more fluid.....
so, not surprisingly, when i replaced the pads, i didn't mess with the master cylinder and i had no problems.
Same here, though it's really not a bad idea to flush the fluid when you change pads.
Just be sure you have room in the reservoir, and all is good.
Which pads you replacing them with?
How many miles did you get with the old set?
The original pads have lasted 35K miles, so went back to my dealer for two sets of pads. The rear pads were replaced earlier because I used it too much instead of my front ones.

Good deal.
I will probably do the same. Some folks talk a lot about brake dust, has not really been a problem for me. Guess that is due to living in the country, nice open touring roads, and not hard on the brakes. Ride safe!
