I'm over it, I never started the problem, the bashing started after I asked a question. I don't always word my thoughts well but no one should assume anything.
Why do you have to go into the bottom end on 2013....
What mods are you going/planning to do....?
I've pulled motors on old shovelheads but not this new stuff, so I'm no help.
Good luck on your project....
Two things you don't do here lest you incur the wrath of experts.
1. Attempt to remove even the gas cap without a repair bible. You will be thumped.
2. Claim any part is defective or substandard. It was obviously something you said, did, or did not do to the bike.
I've made part of my living as a mechanic and been around all kinds of mechanical equipment all my life. I don't think I'd put lower end together out in the garage without the proper tools which would cost more than just having someone do it? If ya have to ask...
...if you think you are saving money by not buying the manual...
I'm one of the "Bashers", I suppose- there is no way that I could have imagined that someone with a 5 pound book would ask this question when the answer is on the page(s).
So maybe it's the way the questions was phrased... and the OP got a couple of answers that address aspects of the question...and also suggestions that he refer to the manual.
Answers to questions are also composed with a thought to other Forum Members who may be following the thread or find it in a later search--- look how many guys screw up a simple oil change because they attacked the bike with wrenches
Communication across the internets is not always clear-

Its funny but I totally use this place for entertainment. I belong to a couple of audio forums and those are used by adults. Not to say there isn't an occasional scuffle, but, as MK said, it's typically a misunderstanding because peeps aren't face to face, and maturely settles back down.
This place is full of peeps who get off on the takin shots whenever they can.
Which, makes sense, ya get a bunch of crotchety old 1/2 baked bikers together and all bets are off. I speak for myself as well in that classification, so.......
