Was looking at the HD premium ride shocks as compared to the progressive 940's. I've got the 940's on my sg now but can't say I'm that impressed with them, better than the stockers but still could be better. Was curious if anybody has made the switch or have any experience with the HD's
I wouldn't go with those. Talk to Howard at Motorcycle Metal. He hooked me up and educated me about shocks. For roughly the same amount of money (maybe a little more) you will get a much better shock for your ride and your riding habits.

+1. Howard is the man. Doesn't hurt to call him. Be prepared. He will give you a bit of homework so you can make a good decision. Many options.

The ohlins and jri's that howard sells are better the hd premiums no doubt, but the prices are not even close. you will pay DOUBLE for howards shocks..
if all you can spend is $400, the hd premiums are not a bad deal.
thanks for the responses, I will be using the 13" , just trying to fiqure if the ohlins are worth double the price or not. I probably could sell my 940 which would offset some of the cost of what ever a buy. Thanks

The guys who have them will probably say yes. The real question is for those who had the 940's and now have Ohlin or JRI's. My JRI's are an order of magnitude better than stock but I have no comparison point for the HD premium or progressive.
Have Progressive 440's on both bikes and they ride great. No more wobbling in turns (yes even with the new frame and crappy air shocks) and rides very nice. I did go one spring rate higher which is 140- 200 (for the Valkyrie) vs 90 -130.
I have a friend that has the HD Premium shocks and rode my Ultra. He said my bike rides way smoother than his. JMHO
