I am looking for a light with a really clean look to it, I do not think I want some thing that sticks out 1/2 inch, and by time I get the light off ebay, then get the trim ring from where ever I think I might just buy the LED from Harley, but I do not want to install it and not notice and change from what I have now.....
I have both the headlight and passing lamps....
even my wife noticed the difference. She always points it out when we are riding with someone else that our lights are alot brighter.
Spend the money and be done with it.

FWIW, I installed a set of DDM Tuning 55W 6K HID's in my daily driver (car) 5 years ago, I still cant believe how bright they are. Lifetime guarantee and very reasonable prices. The kit for my BMW included 2 fully built up headlight assemblies with glass lenses and the power supplies for under 250 bucks.
I looked at their site and it looks like the kits for motor cycles use your existing light assy with the new power supply, HID light and harness, about 50 bucks for a Hi/Lo system. Not sure if they still offer lifetime warranty, but I can say that the 55W HID's are very, very bright.
I figured I would throw that out there as no one mentioned them and they sell a great product at a reasonable price.
I picked up a TLPH7 for my street glide about two weeks ago at our local truck parts supply shop for around 198.00. on th eSG its a simple un bolt and plug in application, however you may need to do a little adjusting, mine was a little high.
I have a road king and do very little night riding. If I did more night riding I would definitely change the lights as I think the stock lights provide very poor night time visibility. My question has to do with daytime riding. I'm wondering if changing to the LED's is worth the money just so that I am more visible to others. Can anybody comment on the difference in daytime visibility between stock and LED lights? It's a lot of money and I need to justify the expense.

Here's the link to a great review on the Phase 7 vs. HD. It has been posted and discussed on the forum before. On page 6 its gives you a look at a daytime view. http://bogiesreviews.webs.com/Review...ng%20Lamps.pdf
