Need a little help before I spend more money. Can someone that has a detachable TP mount (preferably Part # 53276-09A) measure the distance side to side as well as from front mounting hole to the rear mounting hole. Please tell me where you measured so I can take the same measurements. I just purchased a new RGC and I want to install the king TP for when we travel and the wife agrees but she doesn't like the backrest that are offered. I had one on my Heritage that we traded with the wrap around backrest, and then tried one from a chopped TP, and she didn't like either one.. What I'm trying to figure out is if the TP mount will work using the rear mounts on the 4 point docking hardware (54205-09) that I have installed. If this will work, the TP can sit behind the passenger backrest that is in use now. The TP will only be on when we take overnite trips. Just trying to make the wife as comfy as possible for trips...

I have a 2011 Street Glide with the 4 point docking hardware. When I mount the TP it is mounted on that 4 point docking hardware. These are the last 4 points available to me.
Conversely, when I only mount the SISSY BAR backrest, I use the two mounts above the shocks and the first two mounts of the 4 point docking hardware. The last two mounts remain empty.
That does help, thanks. That means I can install the detachable mount behind the pass backrest & then fit the TP to the mount.
Thanks again.
Yes, you could mount the detachable TP rack behind the backrest.
It would mount just like the detachable luggage rack.
With that said, I don't know if you would be able to actually bolt the tour pack onto the rack in a far enough rearward position to clear the back rest.
But for your main question, the 4-point docking allows you to have both a passenger backrest and a luggage rack.
And the tour pack uses the same mounting locations as the luggage rack.
